TRAFFIC TICKET SCAM

It has come to our attention that another email scam has hit the internet. The email is said to have come from the Chatham Town Court regarding a traffic ticket. The Chatham Town Court does not issue traffic tickets via email. Do not open this message. Simply delete the email and block the sender. The New York State Police have been advised of this latest scam and will again be investigating the situation.

AN UPDATE ON THE CSX EAST CHATHAM AND WHITE MILLS RD. BRIDGES FROM TOWN
SUPERVISOR JESSE DeGROODT AND HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT JOE RICKERT:

CSX EAST CHATHAM BRIDGE: The final paperwork details are being worked out between the town and CSX, with plans for construction of a new, single-lane bridge with a five-foot pedestrian walkway still on track for project completion by September 1, 2013.

WHITE MILLS RD.: At its March 21 meeting, the Town Board approved the town funding responsibility for the project. The paperwork requested of the town by state DOT has been signed and forwarded to DOT. The next step in the process is for DOT to authorize and request bids for the project. According to town engineers, construction on the project is still on track for this summer.
