Re:       Notice of 2017 Bridge Construction and Closure for Replacement

Cash’s Bridge – Columbia Co. Rte. 9/Indian Creek – Tn. of Chatham

Date:    July 13, 2017

Please be advised that the construction work to replace Cash’s Bridge, carrying Columbia Co. Rte. 9 over the Indian Creek, will begin and the bridge will be closed to all traffic on Monday July 24, 2017 by the County’s project contractor, A. Colarusso & Son of Hudson NY.  Columbia County Rte. 9 will be closed to all traffic, although local traffic and residents will be able to access all properties located immediately north and south of the bridge at all times during the bridge replacement work.  The tentative construction schedule submitted by the contractor indicates that the bridge replacement work will take approximately 3-4 months to complete.

As a reminder, the temporary off-site traffic detour that will be signed/posted by the contractor will re-route all bridge traffic over County Rte. 9, NYS Rte. 203, NYS Rte. 22,  County Rte. 5 and County Rte. 24.
